Complete Prep to Post Production Workflow
A seamless end-to-end approach that covers every stage of the motion graphics process, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and creative alignment across the entire production.

Discovery, Research & Asset Collection
A thorough review of the script to identify all motion graphics requirements, supported by targeted research to inform the creative direction. From there, existing assets are gathered and original content is built, ensuring every on-screen element feels authentic, on-tone, and ready for animation.

Breakdowns & Motion Graphics Meetings
Detailed analysis of each scene outlining the specific visual needs, technical considerations, and timing requirements, supported by focused collaborative sessions with key stakeholders and creative teams to align on the vision and keep the workflow on track through on set production into post and vfx.

Playback Content Design & Build
Designing and constructing all screen-based and interactive content intended for on-set playback, carefully crafted to perform seamlessly on camera and authentically support the unique storytelling needs of each scene from the initial creative concept through to final build and delivery.

Approvals, Clearances & Delivery
Managing the review and sign-off process across creative and legal teams to ensure all content meets production standards and is fully cleared, before final handoff of all assets to the on-set playback and post/VFX teams, formatted and organized for smooth, reliable use during filming and beyond.
Who is MGFX.org?
Matthew Harris is a Canadian motion graphics artist and art director with over two decades of experience in film and television, with credits spanning feature films such as Welcome to Mooseport, 16 Blocks, The Incredible Hulk, Man of the Year and IT, to acclaimed TV series including The Expanse, The Boys, FUBAR, Ginny & Georgia and The Miniature Wife.
His extensive collaboration with the Star Trek franchise, spans more than 90+ episodes across Discovery, Short Treks, Strange New Worlds, and newly released series Starfleet Academy.
As a member of the Directors Guild of Canada, Matthew frequently collaborates with an extended team of talented colleagues to deliver the full range of creative and technical resources needed to bring your production’s vision to life.
